Providence Chapel is a delightful Grade II listed building situated amongst an historic terrace of cottages on the northern edge of this beautiful Wiltshire market town.

Bradford on Avon is steeped in history dating back to Roman times but owes much of its prosperity and beautiful architecture to the wool trade. Today visitors enjoy visiting the market town to explore the historic buildings, interesting shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs which are scattered around the narrow streets. It is a true pleasure to sit in one of the cafes in the middle of town with a cappuccino and watch the world go by. The Avon and Kennet Canal which played an essential role in the wool trade now offers visitors many opportunities whether it be by foot, bicycle or even boat to experience the beautiful countryside.

There are also many other interesting places to visit within the surrounding area – too numerous to mention here. Bath is only 8 miles away and can be reached from the town by train (15 mins) or bus (30 mins). Other popular attractions include Longleat, Lacock, Bowood House, Stonehenge, Avebury, Malmesbury. In fact there’s something that caters for every interest.

For those who enjoy a round of golf, Cumberwell Park Golf Club (www.cumberwellpark.com) is within 5 minutes drive, providing 4 separate 9 holes each of different character suitable for golfers of all abilities. Booking of tee times is recommended.
